ASA2025: convenor resources |
Dear Convenors of ASA2025, Convening a panel is a great opportunity, but also a serious responsibility - to presenting colleagues, the conference, the discipline. As a reminder, we have put together some resources to aid you in this task, listed below. The deadline to register to confirm attendance is 17 March, when early bird registration closes. After this date, unregistered content will be withdrawn, so please help by reminding your authors / participants to register before then. The conference will be fully hybrid. This means that some of your contributors will be attending on zoom instead of at Birmingham in April: so panel participants will have different needs, depending on their mode of attendance. We encourage active communication throughout the process. This means keeping in touch with presenters to discuss things like: the timing of presentations; the order of presentations; registration. We have put together some guidance for convenors, you can find this here: – Convenor checklist |

While registering you can also book a ticket of 35 GBP to the social event on the Thursday evening, as this will be the moment to dance to excellent music, eat, drink and make merry! If you have already registered and would like to add a ticket, you can email us to ask. Accommodation is not bookable as part of registration, but we have gathered lots of suggestions for you, shown on the accommodation page. There is also a travel information page to help you plan your time in Birmingham. Scam-aware: There are two active scams targeting conference participants. Please check email sender information and grammar carefully: if you do not recognise the email address as ours or the grammar is somewhat 'off', delete the emails. If you do receive a suspicious phishing email you can forward it to report@phishing.gov.uk. The National Cyber Security Centre ( NCSC ) will investigate it. |
